This page covers both sejbosejbo.fyi and its companion app. It's short because there isn't much to hide - here's exactly what we collect, why, and what we don't.
What We Collect
- Anything you upload - images, GIFs, audio and video up to 500MB, titles, descriptions - is stored on our server indefinitely and shown publicly to everyone who visits. Uploads are anonymous to everyone else: no name is shown, and only the admin can see the safety record described below.
- Before a post, comment or marketplace listing appears it is checked automatically. A model running on our own server looks at the image, or at frames taken from across a video, for nudity. Those frames, with the title and description - or the text of a comment - are also sent to NanoGPT (nano-gpt.com), the AI service we use, which passes them to the model that answers - under NanoGPT's own privacy terms - to check for nudity, violence, hate, harassment and videos reposted from other social networks. We keep a checksum of each file so the same file can't be posted twice, and the reason a post was held back if it was.
- The first time you open the app, our server issues it an anonymous ID, which the app then stores on your device. The app sends it with its requests to us - including when it just reads posts, because that is how it knows which ones you have already voted on, and how it can show you your own comments. It stops the same device voting twice on a post. It isn't linked to your name, email, account, or advertising ID, and we don't use it to track or profile you. Clearing the app's data gets you a brand new one.
- We use your IP address to enforce rate limits (so one person can't flood the site with uploads or votes) and to count visits; for that it is only held in memory. When you send a post, comment or marketplace listing, we also keep a safety record of the IP address, the browser or app it came from (its user agent), a random device id, your marketplace account if you have one, and your language setting. It is only used to deal with abuse - finding and blocking someone who posts illegal or abusive content - is never shown publicly, and is deleted automatically after 30 days.
- We keep a single running total of visits. That's one number, not a list of who visited.
What We Don't Collect
- No sign-up for posting, voting or commenting - those stay anonymous. No passwords anywhere. We only have an email address if you give us one - see below.
- No advertising ID - the app does not request it.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- No third-party trackers.
- No location, contacts, camera roll access, or device fingerprinting.
- We don't sell or share anything with third parties.
Email Addresses
If you subscribe to new-post emails, we store your address once you've clicked the confirmation link, and use it for nothing else. Every email has an unsubscribe link that deletes it immediately.
The marketplace needs an account. You log in with a link we email you, and pick a display name. We store your email (to log you in and, unless you turn it off, to tell you about new messages - it's never shown to anyone), your name (shown on your listings and in conversations), your listings, and the messages and offers you exchange with other people, so both of you can see the conversation. Nobody else reads your messages - the admin can only open a conversation after one of the two people in it reports it. Listings and their conversations are deleted a week after the listing is deleted or expires (30 days after it goes up). Deleting your account removes everything immediately, and accounts nobody has logged into for a year are deleted automatically. Unused login links expire after 30 minutes.
In the app, you log in with a six-digit code we email you instead of a link. The app then keeps a login token on your phone until you log out; we store only a scrambled version of it, and delete it if it goes unused for 90 days. You can delete your account from inside the app, or here on the website.
Push Notifications
Only if you turn notifications on in the app. Your device then gets a push token from Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging, and we store that token so we can send one message when a new post goes up. Google handles the delivery, so the token and the message pass through them. The token isn't linked to your uploads, votes or comments, and we don't use it for anything except sending those notifications. Turn notifications off and we delete the token from our side.
Third Parties
sejbosejbo.fyi may be served through Cloudflare, a content delivery network that can see technical request data such as your IP address while a request is in transit to us.
Tipping on the website is handled by Stripe. In-app tipping through Apple or Google Play billing isn't turned on yet. Whichever it is, the payment is handled entirely by them - your card and account details go to them, never to us. We only keep a record that a donation happened (amount, platform, date), never any card or account information.
Children
This is an unmoderated, user-submitted archive, so it isn't directed at or designed for children. It's intended for a general audience aged 13 and up.
Removing Your Content
Anonymous doesn't mean unaccountable. If you want something taken down - yours or anyone else's - email ziga@thekingziga.com with a link to the post. We'll remove it, typically within a few business days, no questions asked.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site changes. Check back here for the current version - the date at the top always reflects the last change.
